Bungie should really get back to where they left Master Chief last time.

We never knew John 117's (a.k.a Master Chief) fate after Halo series left him drifting aimlessly in space with Cortana asking her "Wake me up when you need me".

Now let's get back to John 117 a.k.a Master Chief's undetermined fate. Since Halo 3, Bungie made 2 spin-offs which we're pretty cool if you'd say so. But Halo: ODST spin-off was, for me, pretty, somewhat not that big help to Halo Universe specially on Master Chief's side. Otherwise Halo: Reach was a big help on telling the events before Halo: 1 and by which made John 117 the only available Spartan.

Even after Halo 3, fans were crying to continue Master Chief's story, but Bungie made Halo more interesting to let fans go wild on waiting for John 117's comeback. Until now there is no certainty as to Master Chief will ever come back in Halo 4, hopefully. News about Halo 4 is that Master Chief MIGHT come back, as said in an article from MTV Multiplayer "Bungie Considered 'Halo 4,' Starring Master Chief, Instead Of 'Reach' Prequel" and yes, HOPEFULLY.
