Some Awaited PC Video Game Sequels.

Crysis fans are now awaiting it's sequel's release 4 days from now, May 22, 2011. Crytek announced last year that a Crysis sequel is being made, now it's done! And it is just waiting for it's release dates for you to bring the box home! Here is the Crysis 2 trailer at E3 2010

This is one of some awaited game sequels. Some awaited sequels got released, under-progress, just a rumor or maybe just your opinion.

Don't forget Portal 2 was an awaited sequel and came out ripe, not just even ripe but perfectly ripe! Maybe the most perfect sequel ever.

I made the list of some awaited sequels:

  • Crysis 2 released on May 22, 2011 in North America, 24 in Europe and 25 in Australia, so get ready to mark your calendars!
  • Blizzard's Diablo 3 which was announced mid 2008 and still no release dates nor latest updates but the 5 character classes are complete. The delays were caused by continuous  expansions for World of Warcraft. The worst thing that might happen is that it will get canceled, sad, but plausible. Here watch the teaser and the latest gameplay,
Now who would not want Diablo 3 to be released after waiting for 8 years to get clear news of a possible sequel and waiting maybe waiting for 2 extra years.
  • Valve is picking up speed on releasing sequels. First Portal 2 and now Half Life 2: Episode 3. FPS fans are going to pour in Steam servers looking for pre-purchasing the game when Valve will anounce it's release. Get ready Steam because Gordon Freeman is going to clog your server. So here is the teaser,

  • DOTA 2. Valve is really going to bombard 2011 with sequels and PERFECTION that was showcased in Portal 2. Rumors spread that the creator of Warcraft 3's map DOTA was hired by Valve to make it's sequel, IceFrog. For DOTA fans welcome DOTA 2 a stand alone sequel announced in the 13th of October year 2010 and since it's standalone game that means you won't be running DOTA from Warcraft 3. The game has a tentative release date this 2011. DOTA, for who doesn't know what the game is, is a RPG based gameplay map on an RTS game more like a mod but it's really a map. And I don't think no one knows what DOTA is, yes Defense of The Ancients. Teaser? Sorry, no teaser available yet.
Now these are the sequels that I would really want to see,

  • Homeworld 3. The best RTS made needs a sequel! Though my favorite game is Portal 2, Homeworld 2 is my favorite RTS ever! Homeworld 2 fans are knocking at Relic's doors but still Relic are keeping their mouths' shut. After THQ acquired Relic, Relic never made statements concerning Homeworld, but promised to make good RTS, so they made Dawn of War and Company of Heroes. Rumors spread that Relic acquired Homeworld's copyright from Vivendi and the speculation is finally proved to be true. Another rumor floated Relic is now making a full 3d RTS. There were many factors that affected Homeworld 2's sequel, the acquirement of Relic by THQ thus making Relic THQ's slave and THQ was least interested at Homeworld that time maybe and the continuous release of Dawn of War expansions and/or sequels. We Homeworld fans hope the best for Homeworld 3!
  • And lastly, Portal 3! Who wouldn't want a sequel to a PERFECT game? But Valve is still keeping their mouth's shut until Half Life 2: Episode 3 is out.
